Arrival Story: I came to Denver Dog Works to learn to be obedient, get better at my manners, and to help my owner out when I can.
On the latest edition of Dog Works Radio, we discussed the service dog training program offered at Denver Dog Works.
Training a service dog is a long process and at Denver Dog Works we take the time to develop a program that is suited for you. We do not offer “cookie cutter” service dogs where all the dogs are trained and then offer you one. At Denver Dog Works you are involved from the very beginning.
The Dog Works Radio Show is hosted by well respected canine behaviorist, Robert Forto and the lead trainer at Denver Dog Works, Michele Forto. Dog Works Radio is brought to you by Twine Group Media and Dog Works Training Centers. The Dog Works Radio Show demonstrates through guests, call-ins, chats and social media how dog owners can have a balanced relationship with their dogs.
Favorite Walk: likes going to the park and running around
Best Trick: Camp Counselor “Qyain” says I need to learn better manners, not to pull my owners when we are walking and to come when I’m called. I also need to learn how to get along with other dogs especially my brother Tucker whose older than me.
Arrival Story: I came to Camp because my mom watched me attack my brother Tucker, a Papillion chihauhau mix and I hurt him badly. It scared my mom so she called Michele at Denver Dog Works to get me some help and figure out why I attacked him. I was a bit scared when I got here but its been a couple of days and I feel better already.
Bio: I am at Camp learning manners, basic and advanced obedience, and socialization.
Pet-Peeves: doesn’t like being left alone in the dark (I like a nightlight)
Favorite Toy:
Favorite Treat: bones, puperoni
Favorite Walk: loves long walks and going jogging with my Dad and friends at Denver Dog Works
Best Trick: Camp Counselor “Qyain” says even though I’m big that I’m gentle around the little dogs and that’s important. He says that since I’m here for a month while my Dad and Mom are getting married that I get to go through Canine Good Citizen Training – I’m really excited, I went to the first class the day I dropped off and I did pretty good.
Arrival Story: I first came to Denver Dog Works last fall and learned how to be obedient, not jump and walk nicely on my leash. My Dad and Mom thought that since they’ll be away from home for so long that it would be a good idea for me to spend time with my friends at Denver Dog Works and lucky me I get to continue my education!
Bio: I am 1 and a half years old and I’m from Tennessee. I moved to Denver to cheer my Dad on when he’s playing football. We just moved into a new house and I love my backyard.
Best Trick: Camp Counselor “Qyain” says it’s good that my mom found Michele at Denver Dog Works because she can help me figure out the world and not feel so scared.
Arrival Story: I first came to Denver Dog Works to learn obedience, manners, loose leash walking and how to be confident.
Bio: I am blind and this is a challenge because I am two years old and none of my several owners ever taught me how to be on leash or to do much of anything. My mom Darlene has tried but she discovered she needed some help. I’m so happy she found Denver Dog Works.
